This transom seat was developed to satisfy the requests of dealers who wanted a sun pad, stern seat and aft facing seat like I developed for the SAN-210  Unfortunately I left Nautiques before the concept was finalized and able to be included in the product launch.

This open bow shares more than the hull design with our world record setting Ski Nautique 200 - Closed Bow. In fact the two boats have one very unique trait in common - they are both the proud owners of multiple world records, including the Men’s World Slalom Record among the total of 13 - to be exact.

The interior was moched up in plywood to verify the ergonomics of the transom walk-thru and the revolutionary designed gunnel storage ski lockers.  To see more of the ski lockers visit: SKI LOCKERh
Nesting the new larger model over an existing smaller model I was able to construct sections to scale and was able to fleece a new hull verifying buoyancy and hull side attachment characteristics.  After fiber-glassing and fairing the interior and inner hull were removed to return the vessel to its stock weight.
Unconventional rails and lift planes were developed to maximize lift, minimize displacement and suppress spray for competition slalom skiing.  Boomed cameras were used to record each hull modification.  After six months the final designed hull was rolled upside-down and digitized into CAD to be cleaned up and sent to have the plug made.

Ski-200

The SKI-200 was developed over the last year I worked for Correct Craft.  As the prototyping forman I was involved in many aspects of its design.  From creating a running surface that enabled 13 world records to its roomy interior with integrated transom walk-thru and gunnel ski storage compartments.
