zero clearance     pulley puller

This flat pulley puller is designed to fit in limited clearance areas to remove pulleys without the need of draining and R&R pumps.  Typically pulleys are removed using a three clawed pullers that require over six inches of clearance in front of the pulley.  Many hydraulic pump locations in a DMU have very limited tolerances in the engine compartment.  When a pulley is worn or needs to be removed for adjacent equipment  maintenance the hydraulic system is drained and the entire pump assembly is removed wasting valuable time and making a huge mess.  This puller is able slide in and press the pulley off only.  A small bolt device presses the pulley back on.
