All these jigs are built specifically for each location of each model. They also must interchange with other molds of the same make and models. They are constructed of 1.5" aluminum tubing bent and TIG welded with very little tolerances from the drawings.
The portion that makes contact with the stringers is cut from a large sheet of Starboard. The starboard pieces are cut on a 3-axis router table for precision. The router also engraves the model and location for each jig. As the plastic components can be replaced as they become damaged and wear from years of use.
The jigs attach to the molds through large locating pins mounted on the hull molds. They are secured using a large acme threaded rods and huge hand tightened wing nuts.
