brake caliper          Force sensor

This device is used to measure the force a disc brake caliper applies.  It then records and validates against the manufacturers spec.  The billet hand held paddle is shaped exactly like the brake shoe.  It slides into position and locates two low-profile load sensors against the brake disc.  A maintainer can apply the brakes from the drivers cab and the force applied is recorded on the hand held data acquisition device.  The recordings can later be transferred via USB to a PC.  There they can be compiled into a report.
